Swimming

Another year of swimming lessons is in the books...Carson had fun learning about water safety and becoming more comfortable in the water.  It was fun to watch his confidence grow over the course of the two week class!  This year his cousin Harper and friend Mason were both in his class.

We took Harper to and from lessons on several days.  These three had fun in the car together!

Lunch at the Dariette as a reward for being brave at lessons :)

Hudson didn't mind getting to take advantage of that reward one bit!

Hudson really was interested in what they were doing this year and asked multiple times if he could swim.  It will be nice next year when they can both take the class.

This right here gives me a major flashback to the 80's when I was taking swimming lessons at this same pool.  I was terrified of the diving board, and I remember standing on the edge for what seemed like hours until an instructor had to come and drop me into the water.  I just couldn't bring myself to jump on my own!  Sweet Harper needed help gaining the courage to jump this year too :)  Love how she is biting her nails in nervousness!

Carson always wants to make sure he's going to land in the arms of the adult below - no matter how far out he has to jump :)

On the last day, they were given the opportunity to jump off of the high dive.  Carson was nervous, and inched his way out to the end of the board, but with lots of encouragement he jumped off!

Love how proud he looks here :)

Celebratory suckers for another great year of swimming lessons!
