We spent a weekend at Lake Erie with our friends in August - some of our friend's parents own a house on the lake and they offered it to us for the weekend. We had such a fun time!
We were a little early arriving so we stopped at a farmer's market to look around. The boys got these watermelon suckers and thought they were pretty great :)
We started the weekend off with dinner outside on Friday night. We all brought our own meat to grill and shared sides. The kids loved sitting on the back steps to eat!
Autumn and Lincoln are only a few weeks apart. Loved getting my baby fix!

After dinner we headed for ice cream that evening. Perfect way to end the first evening!
Saturday morning the guys went fishing and the girls and I took all the kids to see the local lighthouse. We had fun walking around exploring the area.
We decided to buy tickets to climb to the top of the lighthouse. I didn't think anything of it, until I got inside and looked up to see this. I hate heights!
The kids climbed the whole way up like it was no big deal!
I made it to the top without much trouble but I didn't make it out on the ledge - I couldn't do it! Luckily Raina and Bethany were fine and were comfortable taking the boys out with them. I made sure the doorway stayed standing ;)
Going down was a little bit of a different story - my palms were sweaty and my legs were shaking. I was too afraid to carry Hudson! Thankfully Lincoln wasn't there so Bethany took Autumn and Raina carried Hudson down for me. I felt so silly!

Ben sent me these pictures while he was out fishing. It was choppy on the water and Ben may or may not have fed the fish :)
When we were all back at the house, Bethany's parents took us out on their boat.
When we got back, Bethany and her dad cleaned the fish the guys had caught that morning and the kids had fun watching and playing with the minnows.
That evening, Bethany's parents kept all the kids and we went out for dinner at a local winery/restaurant. It was such a fun evening! They had an all-you-can eat seafood buffet and we took advantage :)
We ended day 2 with s'mores before bed. Perfection!
Sunday morning Raina, Bethany and I snuck away for an hour in the morning for a walk, coffee, and donuts. Don't worry we took some back for the others :)
A little more play time before hitting the road home. Such a fun weekend!
Ben and Raina both got these awful bites while at the lake - but no one else did. It was so strange and he was so miserable and itchy! Thankfully after a few weeks they finally went away.
