August Memories

Random moments from August...we love summer!

My work had a summer outing at a miniature golf/game place.  The boys had fun riding bumper boats, go karts, and playing in the kids area.

Every time we pull into my parents and the geese are in the yard, Ben stops the car, gets out, and chases them.  And every time, the boys think it is hilarious :)

Ben surprised me with an overnight trip to Cleveland for our anniversary.  We had so much fun!  We ate at a fun restaurant the first night and then decided to check out the casino on our way back since it was attached to our hotel.

We each lost $5.00 in the slot machines in a matter of minutes, so we decided to call it a night :)

The next morning we went to West Side Market for breakfast and had fun checking the place out.  After a little shopping and lunch, we headed back to see the boys!

Breakfast at my grandma's house.  She makes THE best fried eggs!

I went to a PT conference and brought the boys back some free tape measures and flashlights.  They thought it was the greatest.  It brought back memories of all the times my dad would come home from conferences with free pens, candy, etc when we were little.  We all loved picking treasures out of what he brought home!

Heading the the park for a picnic - he insisted on wearing his backpack to practice going to school!  This was the week before school started.

I just tried not to think about all the chemicals they were consuming while they enjoyed these ;)

Tomato juice helpers

I went out early one morning to go for a run and found a yard full of flamingos!  Our old church youth group does this as a fundraiser - you pay the youth group to flock someone.  Apparently they'll even drive 2 hours to make it happen! :)

The boys loved them and thanks to living so far off of the road, they stayed up in the yard for awhile :)

We went to visit Ben's grandma on a Saturday.  Such a sweet woman!

Every Sunday the kids come in after Sunday School and eat the leftover breakfast in our room.  Hudson loves this part of church!

Carson and I went to Target before school started to get school supplies.  We had a fun afternoon out!

I went to my cousins wedding and Ben stayed home with the boys. He facetimed me while we were at the reception and this is what I saw.  I was cracking up!  Ben said he was working in the garden and one thing turned to another...oh boy!

The naked play in the mud happened another time or two after that this summer.  They loved it!

August was a full month.  All fun things!  Looking forward to fall next!
