We had a fun weekend getting together with my dad's family - it's always fun when most of us can be together! With the family so spread out across the country, it doesn't happen very often. I love seeing all 11 siblings together and hearing them reminisce and tell stories of their childhood. It never gets old!
On Friday evening the siblings and spouses had their own get together, so all of the cousins and families got together at my aunt and uncle's house for a pizza and pool party. It was fun to catch up with cousins we don't see very often and the kids had a blast swimming!
Saturday morning we all boarded a charter bus and drove around learning more about my uncle's businesses as well as another local business started by men in the Mennonite church. The theme for the day was Mennonite entrepreneurs - it was interesting! The day got to be long for the kids, and Hudson took advantage of a nap with grandpa during one of the tours.
Later that evening we had a hog roast at my cousins farm. Carson was in heaven with all the kids to play with.

They hired babysitters to help watch after the kids after dinner. The adults had some sharing time and a little program, so it was nice to not have to worry about what the boys were doing at all times. The fun started with a piñata :)
The weekend ended with brunch on Sunday morning. It was such a beautiful weekend!
They went to feed the chickens and my boys took advantage of the melon rinds before giving them to the chickens :)
I see chickens in our future! :)
