The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

We spent a Saturday morning in late November going to cut down our Christmas tree.  Ben has always pushed to have a live tree, and he has always said he wants to start a tradition where we go with the kids to pick one out and then cut it down.  There's a farm not far from our house where you can go to do just that, so that's where we headed!  They have a restaurant there too so we had brunch before going out to get our tree.

We found one!  The trees were all tagged with ribbon so you knew what price range you were picking.  We picked the cheapest ribbon color and picked accordingly :) The tree had a few imperfections but was perfect once we had it decorated in our living room.

The boys had fun decorating the tree once we had it set up inside.

I remember putting the angel on the tree when I was little too!

Carson really wanted a tree for his room, so a few days later the boys and I headed for Target to get one.  Naturally we had to make a stop for Christmas donuts on the way! :)

We found the perfect little tree and the boys picked out ornaments.  After baths that evening they decorated their tree and had a blast doing it.

Their finished product.  We are ready for the Christmas season around here!
