Colorado

We enjoyed 10 days in Colorado at the end of October to celebrate Jake and Kerry's wedding.  Such a fun week!  Everyone was home for the occasion so it was great to spend a full week with the entire Froese/Martin clan.  Hudson did great on his first flight and Carson enjoyed flying this time - his first flight where he understood what was happening!  He got a little (ok, a lot) restless on the flight home, but I won't say any more than that in hopes that I won't remember it when I read this many years from now :)

My parents flew out for a few days and it was SO nice to have them there!  When we were busy prepping for the wedding, they took care of the boys so we could keep going.  And they put the boys to bed the night of the wedding so Ben and I could stay until the reception ended.  Thanks mom and dad - I can't express how nice that was!

The wedding was a beautiful setting on Kerry's family's ranch land.  After driving several miles on a dirt road, we all pulled off into the pasture where we piled into trucks - one of the only vehicles equipped to make the trip to the wedding site.  Around 3 miles and 30 bumpy minutes later, we were at the wedding site.  It was totally worth it - the setting was absolutely beautiful and such a reflection of Jake and Kerry.

Following the morning wedding, there was  a brunch reception at Jake and Kerry's house.  Later that afternoon, there was a reception for all family and friends in the pole shed at Dave and Carol's.  It was such a fun day!

Sorry for the picture overload, but I want them for my book! :)

How many weddings have you been to where there's a break in the chairs to make room for a cactus? :)
