Goodbyes

Goodbyes stink.  There is just no other way to put it.  Our last weeks living in Columbus were filled to the brim spending time with all of the people we have grown to love like family.  I think Ben and I both were excited about the move and busy showing the house and then packing up the house that we didn't realize how HARD it was going to be to say goodbye.  Just ask Ben - there were many evenings where we just sat on the couch, and then the last week on the floor, and we would reminisce and I would just cry and cry.  It has been a pretty great 8 years in Columbus as a married couple and we have developed so many friendships that I know will continue despite us moving further away.   I love the quote my friend Raina used when posting a picture of our farewell dinner... "I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy.  Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun." Charles R. Swindoll
