Washington Trip

Off we go!

So we boarded our plane to realize we were in FIRST CLASS!  We have no idea how it happened, but sure enough, we were in first class with two children.  Pretty sure people pay to be in first class so they DON'T have to put up with children!  Needless to say I was a nervous wreck and praying my kids would do ok!  The extra space was so nice.  Bottomless drinks served in real glassware, a 4 course meal, and excellent service for the entire flight.  It felt so strange but was kinda fun! :)

Carson sprawling out and enjoying the extra space.

Ready to board our second flight from Phoenix to Seattle - in our jammies!

We boarded our next flight - first class AGAIN!  Luckily the boys did great and hardly made a peep :)

Because we flew in late, we got a hotel room at the airport for the first night.  Poor Carson threw up 5 times in the middle of the night :(  We thought for sure we were all going to get sick and our trip would be ruined.  But Carson woke up like nothing had ever happened and the rest of us were fine!  Still not sure what he had but we were thankful it only seemed to bother him a couple of hours.

We got a rental car the next morning with Andrew and Kassidy and spent some time exploring Seattle.  We went to Pike Market and enjoyed walking around the open air market and checking things out.  We ate lunch at a little Thai restaurant right across the street then walked around and all bought desserts from different shops and vendors.

We saw them throw some fish but I didn't get a picture. Pretty cool! :)

The original Starbucks

Hudson's seat wasn't able to be tightened well when it was rear facing, so he was spoiled and got to face forward during the trip.  We figured he would protest being rear facing when we returned, but he was just fine!  After we spent the morning in Seattle we headed for Seqium.

It was great to catch up with grandpa and to be able to introduce him to Hudson.  We did lots of little things during the day while we were there.  One day he took us to the game farm.  Those llamas stuck their heads right in the car hoping for something to eat!

We played dominoes every night - grandpa's still got it!

Best friends reunited.

The town of Sequim had a little kid's festival on Saturday morning.  The kids had fun exploring all of the exhibits!

We sung happy birthday to Hudson one evening - just a few days early!

Smoked salmon - so so good!

Mule rides - popular choice!

Heading home!
