One Year

12 months!  One whole year!  Can hardly believe it.  My little baby has grown into a toddler and is at such a fun stage.  Here's what Hudson is up to at 12 months:

• Walks all over the place, tries to run, flies up stairs, and loves to climb.  He's an active little guy!  He walks with his arms pulled back and his belly sticking out the front :)
• ORNERY.  More than Carson was at this age!  He loves to do things he's not supposed to and just giggles in delight when you notice.  Dumps bags of food from the pantry, climbs the stairs if the gate is left open, steals Carson's toys, etc. etc.  Such a little stinker!
• He uses a few signs, but not near as many as Carson did at his age.  He consistently uses "more" and "all done".  He also shakes his head yes and it's the funniest thing!  Whenever he takes a bite of food he likes, he shakes his head yes as if nodding his approval. :)
• He is a good eater, eating just about whatever we are eating.  Sometimes he eats a ton (like 3 small pieces of pizza - no joke!) and sometimes he just picks.  He loves watermelon, blueberries, and just about any other fruit.
• He waves hi and bye and gets so excited when someone he knows walks in the door.
• His sleep has improved so so much!  Sleeping through the night on most nights.  Goes to bed around 8:30-9 and wakes between 7-8.  He still takes two 1-2 hour naps during the day.
• Loves his binky!
• He is still nursing and not very interested in the whole weaning game.  We're working at it!
• He has moved to the next size carseat, but is still rear facing.  He's a good little traveler!
• He loves to be held and given direct attention, and has a hard time playing on the floor by himself.  He is super cuddly and lays his head down on your shoulder when you pick him up.  It's the best!
• It's fun to see him start to imitate things - he picks up Ben's glasses and tries to put them on his head.  It's crazy how much they pick up at such a young age!
• He has 7 teeth - four on top, three on the bottom.
• He wears 6-12 month and 12-18 month clothing.  He's in size 4 diapers.  Weighs 22 lbs 7 oz (68th percentile) and is 29 1/4" long (25th percentile).  His head is in the 93rd percentile - big, but at least it's on the chart unlike his brother! :)

Happy Birthday my sweet Hudson!  It has been such a great year.  Love you so much!
