One!

Hudson is one!  We had a fun couple of days celebrating this milestone.  

Because we had to go to work the day before his birthday, we celebrated it there a day early.  Here he is showing off how big he is before leaving.

They made him a birthday banner :)

It was another little girl's birthday too, so in the afternoon we all sang to both of them then had birthday treats.  The kids loved it.

Later that evening we went to DQ for a cupcake because it was such a beautiful day - Hudson enjoyed it!

On his actual birthday, Ben took the afternoon off and we headed to the zoo with a picnic lunch.

It was HOT - so we got some treats to cool off.

Which ended in a wipe bath...

And a ride home without clothes :)

On Sunday we celebrated again with family and had a little party at the park.  We were planning to go to one of our favorite parks, but were a little worried with how busy it can be on a Sunday afternoon. Saturday evening someone told us about a park close by that is not well known and very nice - we decided last minute to give it a try.  It was perfect!  Not a person in sight for several hours, a covered pavilion, and a huge playground that the kids could play on that was visible from the pavilion.  It couldn't have been a better location!

I accidentally snapped his chin with the elastic on the party hat - he was SO mad.

He wasn't too interested in eating the cake, but had fun patting his hands in it and then feeding it to me.

We had lots of eager helpers!  Which was nice, because Hudson just wanted to eat the paper. :)

Happy Mother's Day to the best mama a girl could ask for!

We didn't get a nap because of the party - he fell asleep mid game on my phone after dinner.  That's a sign of a great day!
