It doesn't seem possible that my baby is two years old. TWO! Oh how I wish I could slow time down.
Snapshot of Carson at two:
-Lives life at full speed - he is constantly on the move which keeps me on my toes.
-Talks up a storm. He continually blows us away with his language and ability to understand things. He is talking in 5-7 word sentences and correctly uses words like above, under, on top of, and beside. He is a sponge and repeats things days later that I don't even think he heard me saying. A great reminder to be careful what we say around him!
-Loves music and books. His most requested things in the house are books to read and cds to listen to. He will sit and listen to book after book and not grow tired of it. We joined the summer reading program at the library and we're having fun picking out a new bag full of books each week to read at home.
-He loves life. He is happy, animated, and excited about most things.
-He is ORNERY. He loves to do things that he knows he's not supposed to. Sometimes it's so hard not to laugh!
-He loves Elmo.
-He loves to go to church to see his friends. He also loves getting together to play with his friend Jacob, and frequently requests to play with him.
-He is just starting to learn his colors, letters and numbers.
-He has little interest in using the potty at this point.
-He loves to play with balls - he loves to kick, throw, bat, and attempt to catch.
-He loves to help me cook and bake, climbing up on his stool to "help".
-He loves to sing and his most requested song is "Oh my soul" aka 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman.
-He is starting to demonstrate pretend play. He gets out his trains/tractors and makes noises while driving them around the track and he pretends his stuffed animals are talking.
-He wears 2T clothing and size 6 diapers.
-He still uses a binky to sleep.
-He weighs 35lbs 10oz (off the chart) and is 35.5 inches tall (75th percentile).
We love you so much Carson! While there are days I want to pull my hair out due to your never-ending energy, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Your passion for life and excitement over the small things is so fun to see. It's impossible to put into words how much we love you!

Love this little boy!
