Catch Up

Here's what we've been up to lately!

Watering the garden - this was several weeks ago.  The plants are four times this size now!  We're enjoying eating from the garden and have already begun preserving things to use throughout the year.   Wish we could have fresh produce like this at our fingertips year round!

First walk in the double stroller

Pinterest project: Moonsand!

Meeting Micah, exactly 22 days younger!

Breakfast at one of my favorite places, Rebecca's, for my birthday.

YUM.

Birthday celebration for Kyle and I with the family.

Fun at Lowe's

He loves corn on the cob almost as much as I do :)

We were randomly at the park and saw there was a family event going on - it was the Columbus Zoo there with a bunch of animals.  It was really fun and entertaining.  Good timing!

Carson enjoyed listening about the animals.

At the end they got to pet a few of them.

First time riding a pony

This is the only picture I got to document Father's Day.  We ate breakfast (biscuits and gravy - Ben's favorite), went to church, then spent the afternoon relaxing and then later watching Ben play softball.

:( :(
Carson scooted down the steps on his butt after his nap, like he always does, but this time he had a full diaper.  Not fun cleaning that up!

More and more alert every day

It's not summer until you have circle tan lines on your feet from wearing Crocs :)

Nap time!

Family cookout at Marissa and Kyles

Mom was a little tired...

Smiles!

Carson always wants Hudson to read with him.  We joined the summer reading program at the library, so we spend lots of time reading because we have a lot of fun, new books in the house.

Spray ground!  We had a blast playing here.  And the best part is it's only five minutes from Ben's work, so we went to visit him afterwards.

Future CPA?

We went to watch the fireworks at Buckeye Lake.  Carson loved the dock/water and made this mama very nervous.

Our church had a float in the Plain City Fourth of July parade to promote VBS.  Carson took a turn riding the pony during the parade.

We went to a wedding in Pittsburgh for the day and my sister Whitney babysat the boys.  She was brave enough to take them to get fro-yo.  I pictured Carson running around and trying to serve himself like he normally does, but Whitney said it went well and that he was on his best behavior :)  The hard hat goes most places with us these days.

In true Froese fashion...fun with a tennis racket.

Love this.

Life has been interesting to say the least.  Hudson loves to be held and snuggled as much as possible, which can be challenging with an almost-two year old to entertain as well.  Carson has been ornery as ever and loves to be silly.  Sometimes it's so hard not to laugh when he does bad things!  A few weeks ago we had to call poison control :(  I was packing our bag to go away for the weekend when I heard  a bottle shaking.  Carson was into my pre-natal vitamins!  A few were chewed up and spit out on the bed and he had one in his mouth.  When trying to get the one out of his mouth, he swallowed it :(  Long story short, I called poison control because of the warning on the bottle.  Luckily they said he would have needed to eat 22 of them for it to be a medical emergency.  Because he was only alone for 2-3 minutes and because he also had my mousse sprayed everywhere, I knew there was no way he had consumed that many.  While I was on the phone with poison control, he knew he had been caught doing something he should't be doing so then proceeded to do other naughty things.  I followed him from room to room stopping him in the act of pulling out all of his wipes, emptying my shoes off of the rack in my closet, etc.  He knew I was on the phone and that he could get away with these things a little easier!  Stinker.

Today I was at church helping prep for VBS.  We were using transparencies to trace pictures onto butcher paper to later paint.  We had the paper taped to the wall and were tracing the outlines with black permanent markers.  In between drawings, I look over and Carson is drawing on the church wall with a Sharpie.  Without paper underneath!!! How could I even be mad when he had just seen me doing it?!

And so we have entered the "terrible" twos.  While there are frequent times when I could cry in the moment, he keeps me smiling and keeps this crazy life of ours light hearted.  Love my boys to pieces!

  1. I love your boys to pieces too! They were very good for me. Carson was great when we went to go get fro-yo :) I can imagine your life gets hectic though because I had some of those moments myself in just one day of watching them!! Love those boys and can't wait til they're both being ornery together. :)

  2. Loved the update! So many fun, challenging memories to note! The poop on the stairs is way too much, and awful! You've been up to some fun things - glad both boys are doing well for you!
