Party!

Carson had a fun birthday week!

 

Early in the week we met his friend Jacob and his parents for dinner at Chick-Fil-A, played in the playplace, and went out for ice cream.  Jacob turned two the week before, so it was fun to celebrate their birthdays together.

 

Ben took the day off on his actual birthday.  We started the day off with pancakes,

 

then we picked raspberries, 

 

followed by a visit from Preston,

 

lunch at Chick-Fil-A (twice in one week!),

 

and a hot trip to the zoo.

 Jacob happened to be at the zoo too so we met up and took a break from the sun to watch an animal show.  The boys loved it.

 

Next we headed to the pediatrician for well visits for both boys.  Because we missed our nap, he was out in no time.

 

We ended the day at a going away party for a few of my co-workers.  They knew it was Carson's birthday so they got him a cupcake and we all sang to him.  He is his mother's child - only ate the frosting!

 

When we got home Tyler was here to wish him a Happy Birthday and say goodnight.

 A few days later we celebrated with a party.  It ended up just being my parents and Tyler and Whitney, but we had fun.

He kept blowing out the candle as soon as it was lit - I think we lit it 5 times to get through the Happy Birthday song! :)

 

Don't mind my blue teeth - that frosting was lethal!
