Catch-Up

Where did August go?!  I am wayyy behind so I'm just going to dump all of the pictures from the last month and give a quick run down of what we've been up to :)

Celebrated Carson's birthday at great grandma's house.  Was a pro with the cake this time!

Babysat for a friend - Carson and Jacob had a great time playing together.  Fun to see them start to interact!

I surprised Ben with an overnight trip for our anniversary - grandma and grandpa came to stay with Carson.  They had a great time!  We got lots of pictures and videos while we were away so we had a good idea of what he was up to most of the time - we missed him but knew he was having a blast without us!

While in Cincinnati, Ben and I caught a Reds game...

Got frozen yogurt on the walk back to the hotel...

And shopped all day the next day before heading back home :)

Loving the blueberry waffles

Ben and I made salsa one evening after Carson was in bed.  See the corn picture below to fully appreciate why we did it late at night and not during the day :)  We had tons of tomatoes in the garden and needed to use them so we gave salsa a try.  It was surprisingly easy!

We went shopping with some friends - Carson loved this chair :)

Carson is huge into spotting airplanes in the sky and saying, "See it?".  We never knew how many airplanes flew over our house until he started noticing them - it's a lot!

After-dinner wagon ride.  We usually play outside after dinner until bath time - Carson runs to the door and gets impatient if we take too long to do the dishes :)

Helping shuck sweet corn - this kid loved eating it raw!

Aaaaand this is why we canned salsa at night after Carson was in bed.  Trying to freeze sweet corn with him awake led to a DISASTER in the entire house!

and got in on the dress up action while at daycare :)

Brian, Jenna and Mason visited us - we had a fun and full day.  We shopped, napped, ate good food, and caught a little of the Clippers game.

We enjoyed the hot August afternoons outside 

Carson didn't sleep very well for a few days when his molars were coming in.  He would wake up then be a zombie - but fought sleep!  He would walk around and just lay on whatever he was near.

We drove to Indy to visit my friend and her new baby - isn't she sweet?!

Ben played in our church's softball tournament - Carson and I watched quite a few games.  

I went through the carwash and Carson FREAKED out.  Now any time it rains, he cries, plugs his ears, and signs "all done".  It's so sad!

We babysat Harper while Marissa and Kyle went to the Buckeyes game.  We had a fun day!

I pulled the jumperoo out of storage for Harper to play in.  Carson wanted in so bad - but was way too big!  It was hilarious.  He couldn't figure out how to jump because his legs were just too long.

So Ben sat and bounced him :)
