"Helping" pack
Packed to the brim
We parked at a National Forest and hiked in about 3/4 of a mile to where we set up camp. We had a great evening just hanging out, having good conversation, and eating delicious campfire food. Carson did great and was asleep in the tent by 8:30. I was a little nervous how he would do but all was going great!
Raina and KC had stayed in the tent for the night. We checked the radar early next morning and saw another storm was coming. We went back up to the campsite and decided to quick pack everything up and head out before the next rain since we didn't have any dry firewood anyways to cook breakfast. Well, when we were halfway through packing up, it started pouring. By the time we made it down to the car we were all soaked. Made for a good memory :)
So, instead of making breakfast around the fire and enjoying the outdoors for the morning, we got McDonald's breakfast on the drive home, showered, and went to Roosters to watch the Buckeyes game. Same thing, right?!
Next time we'll check the radar a little more closely... :)
Later that evening we met my parents for a birthday celebration dinner for Ben. Carson had fun running around outside before getting in the car to head home. It was a fun weekend - Happy Birthday Ben! We love you!

Loving the Buckeye's pics! Hopefully camping was still an adventure to remember :)
