Nine Months

Hudson hit the nine month mark last week.  Time is flying and while things like tax season make me want to wish away time, daily reminders like seeing his toes already popping over the edge of his carseat remind me to slow down and enjoy the moment.  Here's what Hudson is up to at nine months:

• He cruises along the furniture quickly and recently started letting go of the coffee table long enough to turn and transfer to holding onto the couch.  He hasn't taken any steps yet!
• Loves to eat and this month decided he wanted nothing more to do with baby food.  He cries and refuses to open his mouth to any sort of puree and just reaches and reaches for what's on our plates.  So much for all of the food I had frozen for him - he's moving onto small bites of what we're eating.  He doesn't seem to have any real favorites and eats pretty much anything we offer to him!  He loves puffs and eats way more than any baby probably should.
• He loves his brother and wants to be wherever he is.  Carson has been a little more ornery lately and it's hard for me to trust him alone with Hudson - I often find Carson tackling Hudson or trying to sit on him!  
• He is such a happy baby.  Except for night time when he is in his room alone!
• He is still not sleeping well.  I will give it to him that he has all 4 top teeth poking through at the same time right now - but who am I kidding he has never slept well.  At this point I just pray that he sleeps through the night when he's two and I'm trying to enjoy our middle of the night parties.
• He loves playing peek a boo, patty cake, and listening to music.  He bounces up and down to the beat just like Carson used to do (and still does!).
• He babbles all the time and sometimes it sounds exactly like mamamama and dadadada, but not necessarily on purpose ;)
• He has two bottom teeth and four top ones coming in.
• He wears 6-12 month clothing and size 3 diapers.
• He weighs 21 pounds (75th percentile) and is 28.25 inches long (50th percentile).

We love you Hudson!  Slow down!
