Labor Day

We had a fun weekend over Labor Day with my dad's extended family for the Wenger Reunion.  Friday night we had dinner at my aunt and uncle's house.  Saturday morning bright and early the entire family boarded a charter bus to go up to Lake Erie for the day.  Most of us hopped on the ferry to Put-In-Bay!

Once you get to Put-In-Bay you need some sort of transportation further into the island where the town is.  Most people opt for busses or renting golf carts.  Because of our double stroller, we decided against trying to ride a crowded bus.  We all headed to get a golf cart and had 6 people and 3 kids - so rented a 6 person golf cart.  We piled on that thing and were all holding the kids.  Ben was sitting on the back holding onto the strollers - we were PACKED in.  Just as we were pulling out a woman came running after us in quite the tizzy - apparently children have to be in car seats!  We were embarrassed - we had no idea and were breaking all kinds of rules.  To make a long story short, we ended up renting another golf cart :)

The car seats were included in the rental - Hudson sat in a booster seat!! Real safe.  I think it might have been safer with us holding him :)

We had fun exploring the island and eating lunch.  Later that evening, back at the hotel we had a nice dinner, a cruise around Lake Erie, and a program where the siblings gave updates on their families.

We spent the night at the resort then headed back Sunday morning where we ended the fun weekend with brunch together.  Hudson was a happy traveler!
