Five Months

Hudson is at such a fun age - so responsive and expressive.  This is my favorite age as far as baby stages go and I'm trying to soak it in as much as I possibly can!

Here's a snapshot of Hudson at 5 months:
-His tear duct opened!! :)  It's crazy how much bigger and brighter his eyes seem now that they're not always goopy.  Such a relief.  His first eye opened the day after his one month doctor appointment, and this eye opened the day after his four month appointment - concidence?!

-He grabs everything and puts it straight in his mouth.  He has dumped bowls of food on my lap and loves to steal glasses off of faces.
-He loves his jumperoo and just like big brother Carson did, he jumps all the time when you put weight on his feet even when he's not in the jumper!

-He is sitting (with a pillow behind him just in case!).
-He still giggles constantly when Carson is around.
-My content baby is gone - if you so much as take two steps in a direction away from him, he starts bawling.  If he's not napping/sleeping in his crib, he is almost always demanding interaction and/or to be held.  Carson can entertain him for awhile, but sometimes the desire to be held takes over!
-He has discovered his feet and loves to chew on them.

-He sleeps about 8 hours a night and takes 2-3 naps a day.  Sometimes he naps for 1.5-2 hours, other times 30 minutes.  He is still swaddled to sleep, but we're working on breaking it.
-He is roughly 17 lbs. 10 oz. - that's what he was when we went to the doctor for croup the day before he turned 5 months old.  He wears 3-6 month clothing and size 2 diapers.

Can't believe how fast the first five months of his life have flown by!

  1. Love that little guy! What a cutie. He is getting so big! Hard to believe he will be 6 months old by the time I see him again!
