We spent a few days at my parents before Christmas and enjoyed our tradition of Christmas Eve together. We start the evening by attending the candle lighting service at church - one of my favorites. Although it was a little different this year with an active toddler whose attention span is .049575 seconds :) Then we come home and enjoy the delicious food my mom has spent all day making as well as dad's famous ribs. After eating we read the Christmas story and open presents. This is one of the evenings that I look forward to all year!

The almost-one-year-old!
By this time he was really getting into opening his gifts. He would rip the paper off while saying "ooooo!"
Potty Putter from Marissa and Kyle :)
Kyle refinished this wooden horse for Harper - it was ours when we were little. He surprised us and made a new one for Carson too!
I think it was about 10:30 when I took this picture - Carson and Harper were so tired but made it through the evening without any meltdowns! Doesn't he look huge in Harper's carseat?!

Best night of the year! Good memories. :)
