Where did our baby go?! Good thing there's another one on the way because this kid is anything but a baby anymore. He continues to amaze us with how quickly he is changing and learning and discovering new things. Here's what Carson is up to at 18 months:
-Absolutely loves to read. He will sit in your lap for an hour reading books and would never stop if there was nothing else to be done! "Read" is a technical term - he gets impatient if you actually read the book. He just wants to look at the pictures and tell you what everything is!
-Ornery as ever. He gets a sheepish grin on his face while blatantly doing something he knows he's not supposed to be doing. And then laughs about it!
-Talking up a storm. We tried to make a list the other day of all of the words he is saying and stopped when we got to 50. He says something new every day and it's so fun to hear him try to say things. Some words are very clear, and others only he knows what they mean :) His latest phrase is "love you" - melts. my. heart.!
-Big eater. Sometimes he eats more in a meal than I do - not even kidding!
-Happy. Ben just asked last night if I think our next kid will be as happy as Carson is. He is so quick to smile and laugh - something that never gets old. Believe me he has his grumpy times too!
-Big kid. He is roughly 31 pounds (doctor's visit next week!), wears 24 month clothing and a size 7.5 shoe.
-Takes one afternoon nap (1.5-2.5 hours) and sleeps 11-12 hours at night.
-Social. He loves to give high fives and fist bumps. We can't keep him sitting in the pew at church because he just wants to turn around and ham it up to whoever is behind him!
-Loves music. He loves to sing and dance. If we are listening to the wrong music in the car, he will let you know it! His CD of choice is the one from his Music Together class. We know all the songs by heart...lucky us! :)
We love you buddy!

Gosh I love this kid! Can't wait to meet the next one :)
