Andrew & Kassidy's Wedding

Andrew and Kassidy got married in Nebraska in September and we were so excited!  We decided to drive because of the cost of flights and my parents decided to join us since we had a sweet new (to us) mini van ;)

We left around dinner time and drove through the night.  We hit bad thunderstorms in Missouri in the middle of the night and it started hailing - needless to say I was a little stressed since we were driving our brand new car!  We decided to pull under a gas station for cover until the storm passed.  Unfortunately, when we stopped, the boys woke up and ended up getting out of their seats for a 3am stretch break :)

We made it safely the next morning and enjoyed breakfast at Kassidy's parent's house.  They were such gracious hosts even with all of the wedding craziness going on!  After breakfast, Carol, my parents and I went to Sam's Club to grocery shop for the rehearsal dinner.  Carol said we would have plenty of room in the little car, but we ended up a pretty tight squeeze for the ride home!

Setting up at the reception site

The Froese clan all stayed at a house that we rented in Lincoln.  It was nice to have the house to spread out and all be together.  Grandpa brought personal watermelons for the kids - they loved it!

Thursday night the girls went out for dinner to celebrate Kassidy's bachelorette party.  We had a fun evening!

Love her and so excited for her to officially join the family!

Friday morning the Colorado clan went to the Eberspacher farm for brunch.  Sheila and Erin made us an amazing spread that was so delicious!  It was fun to be back on the farm and relive lots of Hesston memories.  The kids had fun too!

After brunch we got to work at the church to make the rehearsal dinner food.  Ben and I had smoked pork at home and brought it out with us in coolers.  We made several sides and salads to go with it.  Everything turned out great!

We had lots of help!

My parents were such a help the whole weekend, jumping in wherever they were needed.  It was so nice to have them there!

My dad you tubing how to fold fancy napkins ;)

All dressed up and ready for the rehearsal dinner!

Saturday morning before the wedding I snuck in a coffee date with Elisa.  It was so good to catch up and hear what's been going on in her life!

Cutest ring bearers you ever did see!

My handsome boys ready for the wedding

Kass was so beautiful!

Taking in some of the Huskers game before the wedding :)

Relaxing before the ceremony

This was the only picture I got of Carson and Lauren walking down the aisle - they did great!

My dad kept Hudson during the ceremony and did a good job babysitting :)

So fun to reconnect!

Hesston representing!

We had some tired boys at the reception!

Rest stop on the way home - whoever thought to put in playgrounds at rest stops certainly traveled across the country with small children themselves!  It was a great stretch break.

All snuggled in ready to nap.

We drove through the day on the way home, and the boys got a little restless.  We made a pit stop for ice cream and ate it in the car.  It was messy, but kept them happy for quite awhile!

Funny story:  We were all so tired and were finally 30 miles from home.  It was about 11pm and Ben was driving.  All of sudden he says from the drivers seat, "ohhhhh no".  He looked down and the trip computer said 2 miles until empty.  And we were 15 miles from the nearest gas station!  We (my mom and I) of course got excited and were so worried we were going to run out of gas, and we just wanted to be home!  But we made it with no problems :)  Thankfully now I know my car can go way past when it says its going to run out of gas!

Congrats Andrew and Kass!  It was so fun to celebrate with you!
